Join us June 17 to hear Thunder Honey’s First EP Release Show with Kunda! Marimba opening.
As seen at the first Kettle River Music Festival, Thunder Honey is a brand new collaboration between Australian multi-instrumentalist Blake Noble (Blake Noble Band, Rust on the Rails), and vocalist Kaylee Jorene (Wasted Words, Fat Bottomed Band, Steel River Junction). The latter was the winner of a vocal scholarship to Berklee, while the former moved literally from the other side of the world for the music scene in the PNW. The incredible vocal range and ability of Jorene pairs well with the fingerstyle guitar skills from Noble. With extremely catchy originals, and unique covers in their own style, Thunder Honey provides a high energy soundtrack that will satisfy any music lover. Rounding out the full band is Martin Celt (Eclectic Approach, Good Quiver) on bass, and Chris Lucier (Rust on the Rails, Blake Noble Band) on drums.
Get ready for a lot of sound! Kunda! Marimba, Drum & Dance has been entertaining folks in Ferry, Stevens, Okanogan, and Spokane Counties for 25 years. Playing traditional and contemporary African, or African-inspired music on marimbas and drums, their performance is fun and family-oriented, energetic, and educational. Under the musical direction of John Eikelman and Spark, they are joined by long-time members Josh Laufer, Dan Lutjemeier, and Cindy Startup.
